Care & Maintenance Guide
Proper sex doll care and maintenance ensure that your silicone or TPE doll stays clean, comfortable to use, durable, and visually flawless for years. This comprehensive guide explains how to clean, dry, store, protect, and maintain your doll using simple, safe methods. Whether you are a first-time owner or an experienced collector, following these steps will keep your doll in excellent condition and extend its lifespan significantly.
1. Understanding Your Doll’s Material
AivoraDolls offers dolls crafted in two premium materials—TPE (thermoplastic elastomer)
and silicone. Both are high-grade, skin-safe materials but their care methods differ
slightly. Knowing your doll’s material helps you follow the correct routine:
- Silicone: Highly durable, heat-resistant, easy to disinfect, ideal for long-term use.
- TPE: Softer, more flexible, lifelike warmth, requires moisturizing and gentle cleaning.
2. General Cleaning Rules
Regular cleaning keeps your doll hygienic and maintains its texture, color, and softness.
We recommend performing a light cleaning after each use and a full cleaning at least once
every two to three weeks.
Safe Cleaning Products
- Mild antibacterial soap
- Unscented baby wash
- Warm water (never hot water)
- Soft microfiber cloths
Avoid: alcohol, acetone, household cleaners, rough sponges, or hard brushes.
Cleaning Procedure
- Place the doll on a clean, soft surface or shower stool.
- Use a silicone-safe shower sprayer or cloth soaked in warm water.
- Gently wipe the skin and curves without applying force.
- For TPE models, avoid soaking the body fully in water.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
3. Proper Drying Techniques
Drying is one of the most important steps. Moisture left in joints or creases can cause
staining, mold, or long-term damage.
- Use a soft towel to pat the surface dry—avoid rubbing.
- Allow the doll to air-dry completely in a ventilated room.
- Avoid using hair dryers or heat devices.
- For internal cavities, use a soft absorbent sponge or moisture-wicking cloth.
4. Powdering the Skin
After drying, both silicone and TPE dolls benefit from a light layer of renewal powder.
Powdering restores a smooth, velvety surface and prevents stickiness.
Recommended: high-quality cornstarch or specialized renewal powder.
Avoid: talcum powder.
5. Moisturizing TPE Skin
TPE requires occasional moisturizing to keep the surface soft and prevent cracking.
Every four to six weeks:
- Apply a thin layer of TPE-safe mineral oil.
- Allow the skin to absorb the oil for 30–60 minutes.
- Gently wipe excess oil, then apply renewal powder.
6. Protecting Joints & Skeleton
The internal metal skeleton allows realistic posing but must be used carefully to prevent
stress damage.
- Avoid extreme bending or overstretching joints.
- Never apply sudden force to arms, legs, or neck.
- Move limbs slowly and naturally within their range.
- Do not place weight on fingers or small joints.
7. Clothing & Stain Prevention
Dark or low-quality clothing can stain silicone or TPE surfaces. To avoid marks:
- Wash new clothes before dressing the doll.
- Choose light-colored, high-quality fabrics.
- Do not leave tight clothing on for long periods.
- If staining occurs, use a mild stain remover designed for TPE or silicone.
8. Handling Makeup & Wig Care
Many dolls come with light makeup applied by artists. To preserve the appearance:
- Avoid rubbing the face or eyes excessively.
- Use water-based makeup only—oil-based products may stain.
- To clean the wig, wash it like synthetic hair and air-dry.
9. Storage Guidelines
Proper storage prevents long-term pressure marks, tears, or deformation.
- Store in a neutral standing or lying position.
- Avoid folding limbs tightly against the body.
- Use a storage hook, foam bed, or soft blanket.
- Keep away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
10. Repairing Minor Damage
Small surface marks, tears, or indentations can be repaired using safe materials:
- For TPE: approved TPE repair kits or heat tools (used with caution).
- For silicone: silicone adhesive or repair glue.
For larger repairs, contact our support team for guidance or professional recommendations.
11. Long-Term Preservation
By combining proper cleaning, drying, powdering, and storage, your doll can remain in
excellent condition for many years. Regular maintenance ensures the surface stays soft,
the joints remain stable, and the overall appearance continues to look lifelike and new.
